Abstract

This research article aims To analyze the structure of student arguments in mathematics classes where lesson study and open approach were used that were useful in promoting arguments in mathematics classes that positively influenced the development of mathematical understanding of the students. Students facilitate the building of knowledge and the ability to think critically. The researcher used qualitative research. The target group is 16 primary school students from Khu Kham Pittayasan School. The tools for collecting data are student arguments surveys in math class, protocols, classroom observation videos. and activity sheet of data analysis according to the concept of Inprasitha (2014). Argumentation of students in math class based on the concept of Knipping (2008) The results of a study of Argumentation of students in math classes using lesson study and open approach. Learning unit on circle, number 5, learning management plan The data obtained were analyzed for Argumentation of students in mathematics classes based on the concept of Knipping (2008) according to the lesson study in 3 steps as follows: 1. Collaboration in the design of research lessons (Plan) Joint planning is a collaboration between researchers. School coordinators, research assistants and teaching teachers Focus on presenting student arguments or making guesses. You will find that there are unpredictable student argument ideas in math class that can be used to develop arguments. 2. Collaboration in Observing Research Lessons (Do) At this stage, teachers will implement lesson plans in the classroom by means of teaching and learning mathematics that emphasizes students' learning through problem solving on their own. Finding different argumentation of students for various issues and reasons. It shows that giving students the opportunity to solve problems on their own has created a wide range of student arguments. 3. Collaboration to discuss and reflect on research lessons (See) will reflect on the results of Teaching observations to lead to improvements in lesson plans found that the 19 arguments among students in mathematics classes were structured differently.
