This qualitative research study aims to analyze the administrative processes in the construction industry based on Henry Fayol's concept of Administrative Process Guidelines. The framework of the study is comprised of five administrative processes, namely planning, organizing, ordering, coordinating, and controlling, which are operational processes that apply government policies. The research sample consisted of 15 construction contractors, staff, academics, 9 experts from the Bangkok Public Works Office, and 5 government agencies, officials, academics, and experts from the Bureau of Urban Planning and Urban Development.
The results of the study showed that the planning process involves the creation of safe and environmentally friendly construction plans, financial plans to support the development of construction technology, and personnel development plans. The organizational process involves the establishment of a safety control unit with experts and legal advisors. The ordering process involves the allocation of personnel and assigning work to safety control officers, as well as training for workers on job safety. Coordination involves arranging officers to coordinate with government agencies, while control involves the monitoring and assessment of operations, environmental impact assessments, adherence to construction standards and regulations, control of material and equipment usage, and control of safety in construction operations.
