Abstract

The objectives of this paper were as follows: 1) to study the model of health care for the elderly in Nakhon Si Thammarat; 2) to study the medicinal herbs used to take care of the elderly in Nakhon Si Thammarat 3) to integrate the medicinal herbs and health care for the elderly. 4) To present a body of knowledge about “Kilan Pharmacy: A Model of Health Care for the Elderly in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province”. This research was qualitative research by collecting document data in-depth interview Use the method of selecting key contributors. In an in-depth, specific interview, and a group forum of 16 experts and experts, the research instrument was an open-ended interview form. and analyze the data by descriptive method

          The research findings were:

  1. An appropriate elderly health care model is therefore necessary to learn in order to create a balanced approach to health care for the elderly. Health care for the elderly must cover both physical and mental health. and building immunity both physically and mentally for good health that affects quality living.
  2. Integration of medicinal herbs in the health care of the elderly found that the elderly health care model in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province To realize the importance of taking care of the elderly by holistic care that combines health care for the elderly physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. Providing knowledge on health care for the elderly, both alternative medicine and modern medicine In the future, when the elderly receive care from these two aspects regarding their health, which brings health benefits to the elderly, the elderly can help themselves. without being a burden to others
