Abstract

This article aims to present the role of the persons performing duties accompanying members of the House of Representatives since the year 2011 – present using an educational framework based on the concept of New Public Services (NPS), along with studying parliamentary regulations concerning the appointment of persons to perform duties beneficial to the performance of Parliament House of Representatives 2011, and the additions to the 3rd edition of 2013. The finding is that the role of those performing duties accompanying members of the House of Representatives has changed according to the political era and context. Currently, regulations and operational guidelines have been improved. Training and knowledge from responsible agencies helps the persons performing duties accompanying members of the House of Representatives to understand the work process. Application of information and communication technology can support faster operations. This allows the persons performing duties accompanying members of the House of Representatives to carry out their missions efficiently and effectiveness according to the intent set by Parliament.​
