Development of an Audiobook via Social Media on The story of Mahajanaka from The Ten incarnations for Enhancing Patience

Abstract
This research article was "mixed methods research". The concept of audiobook development via social media to reach the younger generation and the concept of the story of Mahajanaka from The Ten incarnations for enhancing patience were used as research frameworks. The research areas were the all 4 Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. The sample group was 400 students. The samples were selected using simple random sampling to assess their listening satisfaction. An experimental group of 50 subjects was selected using purposive sampling to develop audiobooks via social media. The experiment was divided into 3 individuals, a small group of 12 and a large group of 30. There were three types of research instruments used in research: 1) Audiobooks via social media developed 2) Assessment test on the story of Mahajanaka from The Ten incarnations for Enhancing Patience and 3) Satisfaction questionnaire for listening to audiobooks. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The results showed that
- Results of 1st objective-based research: It was found that the results of the quality assessment of audiobook via social media on the story of Mahajanaka from The Ten incarnations for enhancing patience, overall, was at the most appropriate level. Therefore, it could be used as an experiment to study the results of listening to the sample group.
- Results of 2nd objective-based research: It was found that A comparative analysis of the mean scores in moral awareness of audiobooks via social media on the story of Mahajanaka from The Ten incarnations for enhancing patience showed that listeners had a statistically significantly higher level than before listening at the .05.
- Results of 3rd objective-based research: It was found that the overall satisfaction of listening to audiobooks via social media on the story of Mahajanaka from the Ten incarnations for enhancing patience was a high-level satisfaction among the listeners. Therefore, it could be disseminated to the youth to continue listening.
