The objectives of this research were 1) to study the development of English writing process of vocational teachers who studied at the master's degree level by recorrection, 2) to group the learning approaches of learners using Emergenetics®; the online learning approach assessment, and reflect on assignments’ scores of each learning group, and 3) to present the results of the satisfaction survey based on the recorrection method. The research used a purposive sampling with 14 vocational teachers in the fields of Tourism, Mathematics and Thai. Their average age was 35 years old. They studied English by using the communicative approach rather than grammar. This research was action research by using the corrective method to develop the writing process. The recorrection technique was employed to develop students’ writing by descriptive review from lecturers and Emergenetics®. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation, Pair Sample t-Test and One-way ANOVA. The results were; 1) The result of learners' writing process by re-editing twice with the lecturers comments on 4 topics; (1) Writing an Introduction, (2) Writing Process (including abstracts), (3) Explaining Picture and (4) Freehand Writing. The recorrection could resolve problems of fragmentary writing, writing extended version, their thesis statements were better clarified and stop using the bullet points. The overall score of the assignments before and after the recorrection was significantly different at the .05 level. 2) The pattern of the writing and sequence of their writing that seemed to be the problem can be grouped together. Then, they were confirmed by Emergenetics® test. The result of the learning style could be divided into (1) Conceptualizing for 2 persons, (2) Structural learning for 5 persons, (3) Social Relations for 4 persons, and (4) Analytical learning for 3 persons. The overall writing scores of each group of learning approaches were =15.80, S.D.=0.00, =14.60, S.D.=1.28, =13.07, S.D.=0.90 and =12.43, S.D.=0.32 respectively. The average score of each Emergenetics® group was different with significantly different at the .005 level. 3) The overall student satisfaction with the study process was at a very good level (= 4.18 and S.D. = 0.15). These can be concluded that the recorrection process suited Thai adults who have been studying English by using a communicative approach. The students’ writing capability was comprehensible with the results of Emergenetics®. This showed that the thought processes of people indicated the style and preference of writing. Finally, student were satisfied with the study process.
