Abstract

This is Research and Development is of the following objectives: 1) to create and examine the quality of teaching models  to enhance analytical thinking skills in mathematics for students in Primary School, grade 5 and 2) to study the results of experimental teaching model which enhances  critical thinking skills in mathematics for students in Primary School, grade 5.  The research area is Silkhantharam Temple Community School (Witthayakhom) Pho Thong District Ang Thong Province. The target groups were 35 students in Primary School, grade 5/3 in the first semester of the 2020 academic year. The research tools were consisted of 10 learning management plans focusing on analytical thinking skills and the achievement test. The statistics used in this research were Percentage, Mean( ), Standard Deviation (S.D.) and t-test.

Its results were found that: 1) A teaching model to enhance the critical thinking skills consists of 4 steps: (1) Understanding or analyzing problems (2) Problem solving plan (3) Problem solving step and (4) Feedback information checking step. 2) The student achievement of the teaching model that enhances critical thinking skills after learning gains a higher average than before and  3) The students were satisfied with teaching model enhancing the critical skills in Mathematics at the high level.
