INFLUENCE OF RETRO MOVEMENT PHENOMENON IN HIP HERITAGE TOURISM DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT

This research is qualitative research. The concept of retro movement, retro marketing, and retro concepts were used as research frameworks. The research area is in Charoen Krung Road area. The sample groups were entrepreneurs in Charoen Krung area, residents in Charoen Krung, and hipster tourists, which has 10 key informants in each sample group using purposive sampling. Two types of research instruments were used: 1) screening form for hipster tourists and 2) semi-structured interview form. Analyze the data using content analysis and descriptive description.
The results showed that
The influence of Retro Movement phenomenon affects both the supply and demand sectors, promoting Charoen Krung as a hip heritage tourism destination.
- The results of a study on the influence of the retro movement phenomenon from the perspective of entrepreneurs are as follows: 1) The arrival of new groups of tourists 2) Investment and expansion of tourism business 3) The adaptive capability of the business sector in response to tourism 4) Using retro concepts to differentiate products and services, and 5) Branding and promotion.
- The results of the study from the perspective of the residents are: 1) Changes in the economy of the area, 2) Changes in the physical environment of the area, 3) The awareness of value as a tourist-attracting neighborhood, and 4) The desire to reserve and inherit the stories of the area.
- The results of the study from the perspective of hipster tourists are: 1) Retro sense of place 2) Witnessing changes 3) The expansion of creative spaces 4) The potential of space for emotional fulfillment.
