FACTORS AFFECTING THE MANAGEMENT UNDER THE GOOD GOVERNANCE OF THE TOWN MUNICIPALITY IN SUPHANBURI PROVINCE

This research article employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. It applies the concepts of transformational leadership, participation, communication, and good governance as its research framework. The research area was the municipality in Suphanburi Province. The sample group was 399 people in the municipality in Suphanburi Province, selected through Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Preliminary sampling was performed using Simple Random Sampling followed by Systematic Random Sampling. Two types of research tools were utilized: 1) an Interview form and 2) a questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis employed the use of statistics such as Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Multiple Regression Analysis. For the qualitative research, content was synthesized and descriptive reports were written. The research results were as follows:
1. The overall transformational leader was at a medium level ( = 2.90). When considering each aspect, it was found to be at a moderate level in all aspects. The average scores ranked in descending order were as follows: motivation ( = 3.03), intellectual stimulation ( = 2.95), ideological influence ( = 2.84), and individual consideration ( = 2.80). The overall participation was at a moderate level ( = 2.82). When considering each aspect, it was found to be at a moderate level in all aspects. The average scores ranked in descending order were as follows: Participation in receiving benefits ( = 2.86), Participation in evaluation ( = 2.85), Participation in decision-making ( = 2.79), and Participation in operations ( = 2.79). The overall level of communication was at a moderate level ( = 2.89). When considering each aspect, it was revealed to be at a moderate level in all aspects. The average scores ranked in descending order were as follows: receiver ( = 3.04), information ( = 2.92), sender ( = 2.81), and channel ( = 2.78). The overall assessment of good governance was at a high level ( =3.58). When considering each aspect, it was revealed to be at the highest, high, and moderate levels. The average scores ranked in descending order were as follows: morality ( = 4.24), responsibility ( = 4.17), rule of law ( = 3.73), value ( = 3,44), and transparency ( = 3.00).
