BEHAVIORS AND SERVICE QUALITY AFFECTING THE SATISFACTION OF USING THE ELDERLY CARE FACILITY IN PATHUM THANI PROVINCE.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: (1) study the behavior of the elderly in Pathum Thani Province affecting the satisfaction of the elderly care facility for the elderly in Pathum Thani Province; (2) study the quality of services affecting the satisfaction of the elderly care facility for the elderly in Pathum Thani Province; and (3) find the relationship between service quality and satisfaction in using the elderly care facility in Pathum Thani Province.

The study was conducted through a survey. The elderly people in Pathum Thani Province, which has a population of 148,660 people, were used in the study. The Taro Yamane formula determined the sample size to be 399 people. The sampling technique used was purposeful sampling. A questionnaire with a reliability rating of 0.96 was used as the research tool. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis were the statistics used.

The research findings were as follows: (1) the most elderly were female, over 70, single, with a lower bachelor's degree, the source of income is work savings, the accompanying family, the number of accompanying persons, the length of stay 3-4 weeks, and the method. It takes an ambulance to get there. (2) The following service quality variables influenced the satisfaction of the elderly care facility in Pathum Thani Province: first, tangibility; second, dependability; third, responsiveness; fourth, assurance; and finally, empathy; and (3) the service quality variables had a positive correlation with service satisfaction.
