Abstract

This survey research aimed to study and compare authentic leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2. The study samples consisted of 365 teachers who worked in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2 in 2021 academic year, were categorized according to the levels of education, work experiences, and school sizes. The research tool was the questionnaire querying opinions about the authentic leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2. The statistics used percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffé’s method were used to analyze the data.

          The findings were as follows: 1)The overall teachers’ opinion about authentic leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2 was at high level, considering each dimension of the opinion, all of them were also at high level. 2) The teachers’ opinion about authentic leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2 among teachers with different levels of education, work experiences, and school sizes was found to be different at a significant level of .05, both with the overall opinion and in each dimension.

          The findings from this research will be information for the school administrators to use the research findings as a guideline for developing their own authentic leadership to be able to act appropriately for their roles and duties and to manage the school's internal affairs with the most efficiency and benefit to learners, teachers and all relevant personnel.
