THE ROLE OF MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY IN ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL REMEDIES IN THE OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the role of Mahamakut Buddhist University in helping communities during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis 2) to study the organizational management of Mahamakut Buddhist University during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis 3) to propose guidelines for promoting the role of Mahamakut Buddhist University in social ameliorating on the crisis. This research is a mixed method research which surveys data from a group of people who come to receive things, workers and donors and the sample population used was 380 people. The statistics emploed was percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The data analysis showed that the role of Mahamakut Buddhist University in helping communities during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis appeared in overall, 10 aspects were different, namely, the expectation condition was at the highest level, 4.55%, while the current condition was at a high level, 4.49%, and in-depth interview results that gains from executives, personnel and operational staff involved in the role of Mahamakut Buddhist University. The organizational management and social ameliorating during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The important role of Mahamakut Buddhist University is 1) Fundraising to assist in coordination and announce accepting donations, then public relations and set a date and time for people to receive items and the preparation of the location of the Project Administrative Division. 2) Mahamakut Buddhist University responded to His Holiness Somdej PhraAriyawongsakatayan Patriarch Sakolmahasangkaparinayok's orders in setting up a fund namely, "Covid-19 Relief Fund". 3)The recommendations on the operation of the university in terms of policy and practice are focusing on prioritizing, planning ahead, clearly communication, division of duties and learning and improving from previous performance.
