MANAGEMENT OF READINESS OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION TO SUPPORT THE ENTRY INTO THE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE OF BUENG KAN PROVINCE

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the current situation in preparation of local administrative organization to support the entry into the special economic zone of Bueng Kan province, 2) to study factors influencing the readiness of local administrative organization to support the entry into the special economic zone of Bueng Kan province, and 3) to study guidelines of the development for readiness of local administrative organization to support the entry into the special economic zone of Bueng Kan province. This research was a mixed method research; the qualitative research was conducted by participant observation and in-depth interview with 15 key informants, and analysis data by inductive and interpretation; the quantitative research conducted by a sample of 400 people, the questionnaire was used as a research tool with a confidence value of 0.95. Data were analyzed using Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and stepwise regression analysis.
The results revealed as follow: 1) the overview of the current situation largely had been driven to cooperate with other agencies as intermediaries understanding communication between government agencies and citizens in the areas concerned, 2) factors influencing the readiness showed economic (β = 0.141), environmental (β = 0.135), and social (β = 0.129), the equation had a 78 percent predictive power, and 3) The guidelines on development for readiness from environmental and social impacts on traditional local livelihoods is that, the local administrative organization has to be the main agency in creating knowledge and understanding for the people in order to be able to adjust to the proper support to the entry into the special economic zone of Bueng Kan province.
