Abstract

The Pi Paat Band Regarded as the Mon music heritage. Used to perform rituals. Can play both sacred and misfortune events. But now is used for fanfare only at funerals. The melodies of music and the performance of the melancholic accents and styles match the funeral atmosphere. The song is used for fanfare at various times. Follow the steps regarding the funeral.Such as prajamwad songs, prajamban songs, funeral songs, as well as Mon songs that are in the group that is played after the prajamwad songs and prajamban music. The music that is generally played for listening entertainment. Used to be played at various times That is not related to the steps of the ritual.The original pattern of Pi Paat Pat Mon had developed into a mixed form. The old style that is authentic Mon. That remains very little and most importantly, not many descendants. But the Mon band that is a mixture of Thai and Mon With a Thai accent still exists. Because performing various rituals and has an accent that is familiar to Thai people.
