A STUDY OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT ON WORD COMPOUNDING IN THAI LANGUAGE OF MATTHAYOMSUEKSA 1 STUDENTS BY PROJECT - BASED LEARNING MANAGEMENT

The purposes of this research were 1) compare the learning achievement on word compounding in Thai language for Matthayomsuksa 1 students before and after learning using project – based learning. 2) study Matthayomsuksa 1 students’opinions towards using project – based learning. The sample consisted of 30 Matthayomsuksa 1/4 students from Watklongkru School, second semester, academic year 2019, and using simple random sampling technique with a classroom unit.
The research instruments used were 1) lesson plans of word compounding in Thai language using project – based learning. 2) an achievement test, and 3) questionnaire on opinions towards using project – based learning. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent. The results of the study were:
1. The average scores of learning achievement on word compounding in Thai language using project – based learning for Matthayomsuksa 1 in the post test were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the 0.05 lever
2. Matthayomsuksa 1 students’ opinions towards using project – based learning on word compounding in Thai language was overall at the highest level.
