An Invitation Scheduling System for Ritual Monk Specialist: Case Study: Wat Rai Khing Royal temple

Abstract

This article is the result of the development of an invitation scheduling system for ritual monk specialists of Wat Rai Khing Royal Temple. This applied research operated using System Development Life Cycle, web application development, database design, and decision table. The research area was Wat Rai Khing Royal Temple, Nakhon Pathom province. The population were 60 monks. This study collected data and requirements from the samples of 52 monks. The system performance evaluated by the samples of 18 monks which were 13 general users and 5 system administrators. The research tools categorized into 3 groups: 1) requirement analysis and system design tools were UML diagram, Dataflow diagram, ER diagram, and decision table; 2) web application development tools were Visual Studio Code, PHP programming language, and MariaDB, and 3) system performance evaluation tools were questionnaires and basic statistics for data analysis.

The study results were

1. the invitation scheduling system for ritual monk specialists of Wat Rai Khing Royal Temple was developed and was able to collect data related to invitation scheduling systematically to facilitate the administrative work of Wat Rai Khing Royal Temple.

the system performance evaluation was performed by the samples of 2 groups. General users evaluated 4 aspects which were functional requirement test, functional test, usability test, and performance test. The evaluated result was at a good level (=3.59). System administrators evaluated 5 aspects which were 4 aspects same as general users and security test. The evaluated result was also at a good level (=4.45).
