the DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL READING ABILITY AND TEAMWORK OF MATTHAYOMSUKSA 4 STUDENTS BY ORGANIZING LEARNING ACTIVITIES USING SQP2RS STRATEGY

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare critical reading ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students before and after implementation of the SQP2RS strategy, 2) to study teamwork ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students after implementation of the SQP2RS strategy, and 3) to study opinions of Matthayomsuksa 4 students towards learning the SQP2RS Strategy. The sample consisted of 40 students from Matthayomsuksa 4/6, Protpittayapayat School, Ladkrabang, Bangkok, The Secondary Educational Service Area 2, first semester, academic year 2020, and using simple random sampling technique with a classroom unit. This research was pre - experimental with one group pre-test post-test design. The research instruments used were: 1) critical reading ability lesson plans using SQP2RS strategy, 2) critical reading ability test, 3) team work ability evaluation form, and 4) questionnaire for student’s opinion towards learning the SQP2RS Strategy. The data were analyzed by mean (), standard deviation of items (S.D.) and t-test dependent.
The research findings were as follows: 1) The critical reading ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students after using SQP2RS Strategy was significantly higher than before at the .50 level. 2)The teamwork ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students after using SQP2RS Strategy were rated at a good level. 3) The opinions of Matthayomsuksa 4 students towards learning the SQP2RS Strategy were rated at a highest level.
