Performance According to the Role of Village Health Volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province

The objectives of this study were: to study the level of performance according to the role of village health volunteers to compare the personal factors to the performance according to the role of village health volunteers and to study the guidelines for the performance according to the role of village health volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province. This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the Qualitative Research and the Quantitative Research. The sample of the research was 241 village health volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province and 9 key informants. The research instruments were the questionnaire and the interview. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test with One Way ANOVA and the Least Significant Difference (LSD). Results of the Research 1. Overall, the level of performance according to the role of village health volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province was at the high level. 2. The comparison of the personal found that the village health volunteers having the different gender, age, degree of education, status, income, occupation, period of working, and the selection for being the village health volunteer had no the different performance according to the role of village health volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province. 3. The guidelines for the performance according to the role of village health volunteers in Bangkrathum District, Phitsanulok Province were: 1) the proactive health promotion, 2) building the cooperative systems, 3) developing the role of people and, 4) building the social measures.
