The people’s participation in Making Local Development Plans of Bangrakammuangmai Sub-district Municipality in Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province

The objectives of this research were to study the level of public participation on local development plan of Bangrakammuangmai Sub-district Municipality, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province and to compare the factors of public participation on local development plan as well as to propose the guideline for public participation on local development plan. The data were collected by using questionnaires from 400 samples and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test. The findings were as follows:
- The level of public participation on public participation on local development plan of Bangrakammuangmai Sub-district Municipality, overall was high and when classified by items, it was found that the highest mean was profit receiving facet and the least mean was the follow-up and evaluation.
- The comparison on level of public participation on local development plan of Bangrakammuangmai Mai Sub-district Municipality was found that the public with different education did not result in the participation differently whereas gender, age, career, income and duration of stay in the area resulted in the participation on local development plan significantly different at 0.05.
- The guideline for public participation on local development plan of Bangrakammuangmai Sub-district Municipality, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province, they should open the opportunity for public to take part in planning the local development plan in every procedure and also organize such activities promoting the participation in the area continually as well as add public relations for information provision with a variety of channels throughout the area.
