A new Paradigm with Local Management of Thailand

The present development trend of local government is based on two concepts: new public management and governance. The present the trend of local government which changes its concept from local government to local governance? It shifts from traditional and hierarchical administrative model to new one. The most essential elements of the new local governance are the crossing of all borders and the case-specific building of co-operation, partnership, alliance and network relations with various co-operating bodies. It also changes its role from actor to supplier or purchaser of public service delivery to residents in local government.
