The Effects of Efficiency of Toll Collection Management on Expressway Authority of Thailand’s Expressway Using

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study 1) the efficiency of toll collection management by time, which affects the use of expressways of the Expressway Authority of Thailand, the relationship between toll collection management by time with toll collection management by time.

This investigation is quantitative approaches. The research samples concluded 400 samples who use the Expressway Authority of Thailand personnel. Data were collected by questionnaires. Data were analyzed by using statistical method software with descriptive statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, inferential statistics such as t-Test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation.

The results show that 1) Level of opinions of toll collection management by time (  = 3.483).  and level of opinions of efficiency ( = 3.485)  in overall was at high level Moreover, the first research hypothesis on personal factors: sex, age, car usage per week and period of using the expressway in the evening, has different opinions on the efficiency, whereas the other personal factors: education, earning per month, cost of use expressway per week had same opinions on the efficiency.

           2) After applying both quantitative methods to this investigation, the data were congruent with the hypotheses postulated. The relationship between toll collection management by time with efficiency and responding to the worthiness of expressway users the quality of toll collection the speed of toll collection and the costs associated with tolls were at the levels of 80.90%, 77.00%, 74.50% and 75.40%
