The Development of Analytical Reading Ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 Students Taught By Problem Based Learning

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to compare the analytical reading ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students before and after learning with problem based learning. 2) to study the opinion about learning with problem based learning of Matthayom 4 students. The  samples  were  35  students  of  Matthayomsuksa 4  Amphawanwitthayalai  School, Amphawa  district, Samutsongkhram  province,  during  the  second  semester  of  Academic  year  2018. They were selected by simple random sampling. The experiment was taken 6 weeks, 2 times per week, total 12 timers. The  research  instruments  were 1)lesson plan 2) test of analytical  reading  ability and 3) questionnaires  to  analyze  student’s  opinions  about learning with  problem  based  learning.  The data were analyzed by mean (), standard deviation of items (S.D.) and t-test dependent

          The results of this research were as follows: 1) the analytical reading ability of Matthayomsuksa 4 students after learning with the problem based learning was significantly higher than before learning at the .05 level.  2) The opinions of Matthayomsuksa 4 students about learning with problem based learning were highly agreement level.
