The Development of Internal Quality Assurance Operation Model for Schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 23

This study aimed to develop an internal quality assurance operation model and to evaluate the appropriateness of the developed internal quality assurance operation model for schools under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 23. It was conducted in 2 phases. The development of the model was done in the first phase by 1) studying relevant concepts, theories and research papers; 2)drafting an internal quality assurance operation model and 3) receiving deliberation and comments of 5 experts on the draft model. The appropriateness evaluation of the developed model was carried out in the second phase. Data was collected by using a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with content validity index between 0.80-1.00, discrimination power between 0.36-0.89 and overall reliability value at 0.99. The sample group consisted of 400 school directors, head teachers in internal quality assurance affairs and teachers
under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 23 in the academic year B.E. 2561, selected with multi-stage random sampling. Data analysis was conducted with SPSS to determine the percentage, mean and standard deviation (S.D.) The findings are as follows:
- The internal quality assurance operation model comprises 4components, which are 1)supporting factor on the success of internal quality assurance; 2) scope of internal quality assurance operation; 3) internal quality assurance operational process and 4) internal quality assurance operation result.
2. The overall appropriateness of the developed internal quality assurance operation model for schools under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 23 is at a high level.
