Abstract

This qualitative research paper presents the results of Despondency of the Truth in the four Buddhist Holy Places. The research found that: 1) The place of birth is compared as suffering because of birth, caused oldness, pain and death, it couldn’t break cycle of life. To consider this with wisdom able to end the life of suffering. 2) The place of enlightenment is compared as the source of Buddhism because the lord Buddha was devoted his practice and got enlightening here, it helps to encourage us to end our cycle of suffering. 3) The place of first teaching is compared as the right practice under the right view according to the eight fold paths and sharing to others. It was the great of devoting. 4) The place of Nirvana is compared as the contemplation of death and knowing the state of life in the trinity, and it does not underestimate the consciousness to accelerate good for the growth of the Dharma. The discovered research found that the practice of despondency of the truth in the four Buddhist Holy Places are the metaphor to realize of human life and warning as well as promoting our mind to be careful of evils and encourage to cultivate goodness and wisdom. Therefore, Sangvegha Dhamma is the path to awakening with faith and wisdom.
