ชนกลุ่มน้อยในประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน และสถานภาพการศึกษาในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาเรื่องชนกลุ่มน้อยในประเทศลุ่มน้ำโขงเป็นประเด็นหนึ่งที่นักวิชาการให้ ความสนใจ เพราะสามารถสืบสาวถึงประวัติศาสตร์ได้หลายด้าน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเรื่อง ประวัติศาสตร์ชาติพันธุ์และภาษา ดังจะเห็นว่านักวิชาการด้านประวิติศาสตร์และภาษาตระกูลไทในปัจจุบันมุ่งความสนใจไปที่ชนกลุ่มน้อยทางตอนใต้ของประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน แต่ในขณะที่ประเทศไทยยังไม่มีฐานข้อมูลภาษาไทยเกี่ยวกับเรื่องดังกล่าวที่สามารถอ้างอิงได้ นักวิชาการส่วนใหญ่ที่ไม่รู้ภาษาจีนกระทำได้ทางเดียวคือพึ่งข้อมูลที่เขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ บางครั้งข้อมูลผิดพลาดส่งผลให้การวิจัยคลาดเคลื่อน บทความนี้นำเสนอเกี่ยวกับการศึกษา ประเด็นชนกลุ่มน้อยของประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนในประเทศไทยสามประการ คือ 1) ข้อมูลสังเขปและนโยบายเกี่ยวกับชนกลุ่มน้อยในประเทศจีน 55 กลุ่ม 2) เหตุผลที่วง วิชาการไทยสมควรเร่งพัฒนาฐานข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวกับชนกลุ่มน้อยในประเทศจีน และ 3) บทสรุป สถานภาพการศึกษาเรื่องชนกลุ่มน้อยของจีนในประเทศไทย

Chinese Ethnic Minorities and The status of studying in Thailand

Investigating the ethnic minorities in Mekong river area countries has been interested by researchers because it can link to other notable issues, especially the issue of history of ethnic groups and languages. Historians studying history of the Tai ethnic minority and Tai family languages usually explore the ethnic minorities in China. However there is still no Chinese ethnic minorities database in Thai language that can be used as reference. Most of the researchers who are unable to understand Chinese usually count on English language data which sometimes contains errors, causing incorrect results in their study. This article presents three issues related to Chinese ethnic minorities which are largely examined in Thailand, namely 1) general information and policies about 55 ethnic minorities in China 2) the rationale for developing Chinese ethnic minorities database in Thai academic system 3) the summary of status of studying Chinese ethnic minorities in Thailand
