การใช้ห้องสมุดกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้ห้องสมุดกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาอุปสรรค และข้อเสนอแนะความต้องการใช้ห้องสมุดกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช ใช้วิธีการวิจัยแบบผสานวิธี โดยวิธีวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ใช้แบบสอบถาม เก็บรวบข้อมูลจากบุคลากรกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช จำนวน 350 คน และวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก จำนวน 10 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ส่วนใหญ่ใช้ห้องสมุดเพื่อศึกษาค้นคว้าเพิ่มพูนความรู้และเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดนานๆ ครั้ง โดยใช้ห้องสมุดเมื่อต้องการค้นคว้าข้อมูล ส่วนใหญ่ใช้สื่อตีพิมพ์ภาษาไทยประเภทหนังสือสาขาความรู้ทั่วไปและใช้เนื้อหาป่าไม้สาขาการทำและใช้ประโยชน์จากป่าไม้ ส่วนใหญ่ใช้บริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้าและเข้าถึงทรัพยากรสารสนเทศด้วยการสอบถามบรรณารักษ์และ เจ้าหน้าที่ สำหรับปัญหาอุปสรรคการใช้ห้องสมุด คือ มีพื้นที่คับแคบ ทรัพยากรสารสนเทศไม่ทันสมัย เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์มีประสิทธิภาพต่ำ ไม่มีบริการถ่ายเอกสาร บุคลากรมีจำนวนน้อย และผู้ใช้ไม่มีเวลาเข้าห้องสมุด

ข้อเสนอแนะด้านความต้องการที่มีมากที่สุด ได้แก่ ห้องสมุดควรมีบรรยากาศผ่อนคลาย มีมุมพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ จัดหาทรัพยากรสารสนเทศที่ทันสมัยมีระบบเครือข่ายที่รวดเร็วและเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพ มีบริการฐานข้อมูลออนไลน์ บุคลากรควรมีใจรักในงานบริการและมีความรู้ทางด้านสาขาป่าไม้

Use of The Library of The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation

The objectives of this research were to study the use of the library at the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP), and to study the obstacles, requirements in using the library. A mixed method approach was applied to this research. To gain the quantitative data, from the samples of 350 DNP personnel. To obtain the qualitative data, an in-depth interview from the samples of 10 DNP personnel. The obtained data was statistically analyzed and presented as percentage mean and standard deviation

According to the research findings, the library users mostly used the library for studying and enhancing their knowledge but they rarely used it. The library was utilized for seeking the information. The printed media and information resources in Thai language were mainly used in the types of general books. The contents of general knowledge and forest fields; forestry and forest utilization, were used. Most samples used the services of the enquiry and searching, and reached the information resources through the librarians and staff.

The user’ obstacles in using the library were the narrow space, out-of-date information resources, low-performance computers, none of photocopy service, a few personnel, and no time to enter to the library of the users.

The highest scored requirements found from the study were relaxed atmosphere library; recreational area; up-to-date information resources; fast network and high- performance computers, online database service, and personnel having servicemind and knowledge in forest field.
