โขนสด : การประยุกต์ดัดแปลงจากโขน สู่การแสดงระดับชาวบ้าน

บทคัดย่อ

บทความวิชาการ นี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาโขนสด ซึ่งเป็น ศิลปะการแสดงที่นำเอาโขนมาเป็นต้นแบบ นำมาประยุกต์ดัดแปลง เพื่อแสดงใน เวทีชาวบ้าน โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้ทราบว่าโขนสดได้นำเอาโขนมาประยุกต์ ปรับเปลี่ยนอย่างไร ด้วยเหตุผลใด รวมทั้งการศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อแนวคิดในการ ปรับเปลี่ยนดัดแปลงนั้น

ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า โขนสดยังคงลักษณะของโขนบางประการเช่น การแสดงเรื่องรามเกียรติ์ การใช้หัวโขน เพลงหน้าพาทย์ แต่ก็มีการลดทอน เพิ่มเติม ผสมผสานจากเดิม จนได้รูปแบบที่เหมาะสม เช่น การลดทอน นาฏลักษณ์ให้ง่ายลง การใช้เพลงหน้าพาทย์ระดับพื้นฐาน เพิ่มตัวละครและปรับ บท เพื่อความบันเทิงของคนดู มีการผสมการแสดงต่างๆเช่น ท่ารำและเพลงจาก ลิเก หนังตะลุง และอื่นๆลงไปด้วย เนื่องจากนักแสดงบางคนแสดงได้หลายแบบ และบางครั้งก็นำรูปแบบมาจากคู่แข่ง เพื่อให้แข่งขันได้

โดยสรุปแล้ว การปรับเปลี่ยนประยุกต์รูปแบบจากโขนมาใช้ในโขนสด นั้น มีเหตุผล อธิบายได้จากปัจจัยต่างๆทั้งผู้ผลิต ผู้ชม ผู้สนับสนุน และคู่แข่งขัน

Khon Sod, a theatrical form for provincial audiences, adapted from Khon (traditional royal court dance drama performed by masked dancers). Khon Sod’s development from Khon, performance style, and what impacted this development were subjects of the study.

Results were that Khon Sod maintains some aspects of Khon. Both use the Ramayana story, wearing Khon masks and play Na Paat (a piece of music reserved for formal occasions). These elements were simplified for use in Khon Sod. Characters and role playing were altered to entertain audiences, adding dance styles and songs from Likay, popular Thai folk theater, and Nang Talung, shadow puppets. These adaptations to Khon Sod derive from performers active in many types of performing arts. Sometime they borrowed styles from their rival performances to better compete with them. Khon Sod was developed to fulfill audience expectations and sponsor needs under budget constraints.

Producers, audiences, sponsors, and competitors all played key roles in adapting Khon to Khon Sod.
