กลวิธีการแปลชื่อเรื่องจากภาษาญี่ปุ่น-ภาษาไทย: กรณีศึกษา นวนิยายแนวสืบสวนสอบสวน ผลงานนักเขียน ฮิงาชิโนะ เคโงะ

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการแปลชื่อเรื่องจากภาษาญี่ปุ่น-ภาษาไทย กรณีศึกษานวนิยายแนวสืบสวนสอบสวน ผลงานนักเขียน ฮิงาชิโนะ เคโงะ โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากสำนักพิมพ์ที่ได้แปลและจัดจำหน่ายในประเทศไทยทั้งหมด 9 สำนักพิมพ์ ได้แก่ สำนักพิมพ์ไดฟุกุ สำนักพิมพ์น้ำพุ สำนักพิมพ์ Biblio สำนักพิมพ์ JClass สำนักพิมพ์ Hummingbooks Publishing สำนักพิมพ์ Maxx Publishing แพรวสำนักพิมพ์ สำนักพิมพ์ Page Publishing และสำนักพิมพ์ Nation Books (NB Horror) ในช่วงปีค.ศ. 2017 – 2024 รวมทั้งสิ้น 70 เรื่อง การวิเคราะห์ในงานชิ้นนี้ อ้างอิงกลวิธีการแปลที่พบในงานของรุสนี มะแซ และคณะ (Masae et al, 2018) เป็นหลัก
ผลการวิจัยพบว่ามีการใช้กลวิธีการแปล 7 วิธี โดยกลวิธีที่พบมากที่สุด คือ การแปลตรงตัวทั้งข้อความและไม่มีเสริมภาษาไทย จำนวน 21 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 30 ชี้ให้เห็นว่าการแปลแบบตรงตัวเป็นกลวิธีที่ใช้มากที่สุดในการแปลชื่อเรื่องนวนิยายญี่ปุ่นเป็นภาษาไทย ทั้งนี้สามารถอธิบายได้จากลักษณะเฉพาะของชื่อเรื่องนวนิยายที่มักมีรูปแบบสั้น กระชับ และสะท้อนเจตนารมณ์หรืออัตลักษณ์ของผู้เขียน โดยเฉพาะผลงานแนวสืบสวนสอบสวนของฮิงาชิโนะ เคโงะ ซึ่งมักตั้งชื่อเรื่องด้วยถ้อยคำที่เรียบง่ายแต่แฝงนัยยะชวนให้ค้นหา ความกระชับของชื่อเรื่องดังกล่าวเอื้อต่อการถ่ายทอดความหมายผ่านการแปลแบบตรงตัวโดยไม่จำเป็นต้องปรับเปลี่ยนมากนัก อีกทั้งนวนิยายเป็นสื่อที่พึ่งพาการรับรู้ผ่านภาษาและจินตนาการของผู้อ่านเป็นสำคัญ การแปลแบบตรงตัวจึงช่วยเปิดพื้นที่ให้ผู้อ่านตีความและสร้างความหมายจากตัวบทได้ด้วยตนเอง และเป็นการสร้างความมั่นใจว่าผู้อ่านฉบับแปลจะได้รับประสบการณ์ใกล้เคียงกันกับต้นฉบับ อีกทั้งกลุ่มผู้อ่านส่วนใหญ่ในปัจจุบันมีความคุ้นเคยและความเข้าใจต่อวัฒนธรรมญี่ปุ่นมากขึ้น สะท้อนถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของผู้อ่านในยุคปัจจุบัน ส่งผลให้ผู้แปลมีแนวโน้มเลือกใช้กลวิธีการแปลแบบตรงตัวเพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้อ่านที่ต้องการฉบับแปลที่ยังคงรักษาความหมาย อรรถรส และอัตลักษณ์ของผู้เขียนตามต้นฉบับ ในขณะเดียวกันก็ช่วยให้ผู้อ่านฉบับแปลได้รับประสบการณ์ใกล้เคียงกันกับต้นฉบับมากเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้
