บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิจัยนี้ตรวจสอบว่าบทประกอบการฟังภาษาอังกฤษในฐานะภาษา
ที่สอง (L2 English audio scripts) สามารถช่วยทาให้การฟังภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความ
เข้าใจดีขึ้นมากน้อยเพียงใด และการใช้บทประกอบการฟังเป็นการช่วยหรือเป็นการ
รบกวนการฟังเพื่อความเข้าใจ การวิจัยเป็นแบบกลุ่มตัวอย่างเดียวที่มีการทดสอบ
ก่อนและหลังการทดลองกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นนักศึกษาไทยในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย
จานวน 52 คน ซึ่งต้องฝึกการฟังเพื่อความเข้าใจพร้อมบทประกอบการฟังเป็น
ภาษาอังกฤษนอกชั้นเรียนเป็นเวลาเจ็ดสัปดาห์ก่อนทาแบบทดสอบหลังการทดลอง
ในการทาแบบทดสอบ นักศึกษาจะต้องฟังประโยคภาษาอังกฤษจานวนสิบประโยค
และเขียนสิ่งที่ได้ยินและเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับประโยคเหล่านั้นเป็นภาษาไทย จากนั้นคาใน
ภาษาไทยจะถูกนามาวิเคราะห์เพื่อตรวจสอบว่า (1) คาในภาษาไทยเหล่านั้นตรงกับ
คาในภาษาอังกฤษคาใดซึ่งก็หมายความว่าเป็นคาที่ถูกจดจาได้ (2) คาเหล่านั้นถูก
วิเคราะห์โครงสร้างทางไวยากรณ์ได้อย่างถูกต้องหรือไม่ และ (3) นักศึกษาเข้าใจ
ข้อความเสียง (aural texts) มากน้อยเพียงใด ผลวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าแม้ว่าการฝึกฟัง
พร้อมบทประกอบการฟังจานวนน้อยครั้งจะไม่สามารถทาให้นักศึกษาเข้าใจข้อความ
เสียงได้ทั้งหมด แต่สามารถช่วยทาให้ขั้นตอนการรับรู้ (perception phase) ง่ายขึ้น
โดยทาให้นักศึกษารับรู้คาศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษได้มากขึ้นในระดับที่มีนัยสาคัญทางสถิติ
และช่วยในขั้นตอนการวิเคราะห์โครงสร้างทางไวยากรณ์ (parsing phase) ในระดับ
ที่น้อยกว่าอันเป็นผลจากระดับความรู้ภาษาอังกฤษที่แตกต่างกันของนักศึกษาแต่ละ
คน ผลจากแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นแสดงให้เห็นว่านักศึกษาคิดว่าเทคนิคการฝึก
การฟังแบบนี้ช่วยการฝึกได้ดีมากและบทประกอบการฟังไม่รบกวนการฟัง
