Abstract

This study aimed to examine the potential of learning centers under the Creative Economy Promotion Project and to design learning routes linked to key attractions in Phayao Province, aligned with SDG 4, SDG 8, and SDG 12. A qualitative case study approach was employed in two phases: semi-structured interviews and route testing via a familiarization trip, involving 75 stakeholders from government agencies, the private sector, local communities, and tourists. Five potential learning centers were identified: Chiang Kham Lanna Traditional Kalamae, Ban Wiang Bua Ancient Kiln Site, Ban Cham Kai Weaving Community, Suk Thang Jai Farm, and Ban Suan Saeng Dao. Overall suitability was rated at the highest level (ð‘ĨĖ… = 4.33), with knowledge management (ð‘ĨĖ… = 4.53) and environmental management (ð‘ĨĖ… = 4.45) identified as the top strengths, while public relations and marketing were found to require further improvement (ð‘ĨĖ… = 4.03). Based on these findings, three learning routes: “Experience the Arts,” “Explore Organic Farming,” and “Discover Cultural Lifestyles” were developed for curious, sustainability-conscious tourists, covering six dimensions: culture, crafts, agriculture and nature, food, history, and participation. These routes serve as a mechanism linking the creative economy with sustainable tourism development in Phayao Province.
