Abstract

This research article presents a quantitative study with three main objectives: (1) to examine the level of patient-centered care provided by dental clinics in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Buriram Province; (2) to examine the level of satisfaction among service recipients; and (3) to investigate the influence of patient-centered care on the satisfaction of service recipients. The sample consisted of 400 service recipients from dental clinics in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Buriram Province, selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with an index of item-objective congruence (IOC) ranging between 0.67 and 1.00, and a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.908 for the entire survey. Data analysis was conducted using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that the overall level of patient-centered care provided by the dental clinics was high, with the dimension of respect for patients’ rights and needs receiving the highest mean score. Furthermore, the overall satisfaction of service recipients was also high. Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that all five dimensions of patient-centered care collectively had a statistically significant positive effect on service recipients’ satisfaction at the 0.05 level. Together, they accounted for 47.9% of the variance in service recipients' satisfaction (R² = .479), with attentive care being the most influential dimension. The research findings thus supported all stated hypotheses.
