Concept in a short story by Chamlong Fangchonchit

Abstract
This article aimed to study the concepts in the short stories of Chamlong Fangchonchit. From a collection of famous short stories that were received honorary awards from 1988-2019, a total of 78 stories. The study results revealed that there were four areas of the concepts, i.e. 1) The concept expressing point of views was found views towards social values, namely, a positive view towards social values is the value of love for nation, religion, and the monarchy and a negative view towards social values, namely, the value of selfishness. the value of wealth and luxury. found views towards politics and governance, namely, political violence and conflict management using peaceful methods. found economic views, namely, emerging careers and economic problems that affect employees. found views towards social problems, namely, drug problems. school-age pregnancy (teenage pregnancy) and crimes, 2) The concept expressing behavior, namely, health behavior related to the use of herbs, and religious behavior and belief, namely, religious tradition belief in the law of Karma belief in merit and belief in superstition, 3) The concept expressing pictures and situations, namely, poverty. changes in the way of life of people in communities and the way of life of people in Bangkok, and 4) The concept related to nature and environment, namely, problems about natural resources and environment, namely waste problems water pollution problems air pollution problems, and health impacts and environmental impacts.
