Abstract

The article aims at investigating the structure of Thai TV drama titles between 1956 and 2018. The structures of 1,200 Thai TV drama titles were analyzed in word, phrase and sentence levels. The results show that noun phrases are the most frequently used structures while the use of single words have decreased and TV drama titles in the form of sentences have constantly been increasing.  Syntactically,  null subjects were the most popular at the first stage while TV drama titles written in English language have become more and more popular in the recent years.
