The Development of 3-Language Information Service Website to Support Digital Historical Tourism Information in Kanchanaburi

Abstract

       The objectives of this research were to: 1) develop a 3 language information service website to support the historical tourism information in Kanchanaburi city as a digital tourism; 2) assess the efficiency of the 3 language information service website; and 3) evaluate the satisfaction of users of the 3 language information service website. Developed the website using Notepad ++ program, HTML and CSS. The website development process used the principle of information system development cycle (SDLC). The researcher used the efficiency evaluation form from 3 experts and the evaluation form of satisfaction of 30 users. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean and standard deviation.


The results showed that the website can provide information in 3 languages, namely English, Chinese and Russian. It was a service providing support information from 3 historical sites in Kanchanaburi, namely Ban Kao National Museum, Old Kanchanaburi (Tha Sao) and the Bridge over the River Kwai. It contains nearby hotels, nearby restaurants, and travel maps, which users can use the service at www.3languageskan.com. The efficiency evaluation was at level 4.40 and the satisfaction evaluation was at level 4.65.
