Guideline of Promotion and Sustainable Development for Occupation of Community around Sirindhorn Dam in Sirindhorn District Ubon ratchathani Province.

Abstract
The research aimed to study the general information and contexts of the communities surrounding the Sirinthorn dam in Sirinthorn district, to know the problems and needs for the vocational development and to explore the guidelines to support and develop the occupations leading to the sustainability of the communities surrounding the Sirinthorn dam. The research instruments were a questionnaire and an interview. Statistics used was a content analysis. The problems relating to the occupational development were overall moderate ( = 2.47). The aspects studied could be shown as follows: marketing ( = 2.71), occupations ( = 2.65), water resource use ( = 2.63) and problems in general ( = 1.90). Individual issues could be given in an order of significance: flexibility in marketing ( = 2.77), instability in occupations ( =2.74 ), use of water resources from the dam ( =2.74 ), drug abuse ( =2.03 ) and lack of funds accounting for 33.7 %.
