บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาศึกษาการเข้ามาในอีสานของคนเวียดนามก่อน ค.ศ.1946 ที่สัมพันธ์ต่อการเกิดเครือข่ายคนเวียดนามข้ามชาติในประเทศไทย ใช้วิธีการศึกษาเอกสารร่วมกับการเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนามโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การสังเกตอย่างมีส่วนร่วมและไม่มีส่วนร่วม ผู้วิจัยใช้แนวคิด เครือข่ายข้ามชาติ (Transnational Network) และพื้นทางสังคมข้ามชาติ (Transnational Social Space) ใช้ข้อมูลภาคสนามและข้อมูลจากเอกสารเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ นำเสนอผลการวิจัยด้วยการพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าคนเวียดนามเข้ามาสู่อีสานก่อนที่จะมีการโจมตีฝั่งขวาแม่น้ำโขงโดยฝรั่งเศสในปี ค.ศ.1946 ความขัดแย้งระหว่างฝรั่งเศสกับสยามคือสาเหตุสำคัญที่เอื้อให้คนเวียดนามเข้ามาสู่อีสาน ปฏิสัมพันธ์และปฏิบัติการกู้ชาติภายในกลุ่มคนเวียดนามส่งผลให้เกิดพื้นที่ทางสังคมข้ามชาติชุดใหม่และกลายเป็นเครือข่ายคนเวียดนามในประเทศไทย
