Development of Communicative English Learning Course for Vendors and Nongki Municipality Officials, Nongki District, Buriram Province

Abstract
The article entitled "Development of Communicative English Learning Course" aimed at studying the problems in the development of communicative English learning course and studying the development of communicative English learning course. The data collected in this research were composed of in-depth interview, focus group discussion, analysis forum, participant observation, and related documents. Having collected the data from 77 NongKi municipality officials and people as the sample in the area of NongKi municipality, the results showed that they mostly felt worried about speaking English because they could not understand what they spoke and were afraid of making grammatical mistakes. Besides, they were shy to speak English and could not communicate with foreigners. So, it is very necessary for them to improve four English skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and it is also an important factor for those who joined in this training course to learn all four skills. After the techniques of listening, speaking, reading, and writing were used, the people in the area of NongKi municipality could use English for communication at the basic level. They had more confidence of English communication in their daily life than before. Since NongKi municipality has the roads connected to the important tourist attractions such as Phanom Rung Sanctuary, Muang Tam Sanctuary and also to Nakhon Ratchasima province; the vendors, municipality officials, and general people in NongKi municipality needed to be ready to adapt themselves to English in order to communicate and also distribute the information of government sectors in the area of NongKi sub-district.
