Strategies for Developing the Internal Quality Assurance System of Schools under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 5

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the current and desirable condition of the
schools’ internal quality assurance system under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service
Area Office 5, and 2)develop the schools’ internal quality assurance system strategy. The
research procedure comprised two phases: 1) studying the current and desirable condition of the
schools’ internal quality assurance system by using questionnaire from administrators and

teachers from 144 schools to priority needs index analysis and 2) developing the schools’ internal
quality assurance system strategy; (1) 11 experts organized the workshop to study the environment
for the schools’ internal quality assurance system and developed its strategy and (2) assessment
the propriety, feasibility and acceptance of strategy by using questionnaire from 144 administrators
and 144 teachers. The data was analyzed by means and standard deviation
The results of study were as follows:
1. Priority needs index is the education standard school setting, followed by the educational
quality assurance development, and the educational development plan operation.
2. The development of schools’ internal quality assurance system strategy consisted of 4
strategies; 1)human resource development, 2) information and communication technology
development 3) learning organization promotion, and 4) monitoring, checking and evaluating
system development strategies.
3. The assessment results of propriety, feasibility and acceptance strategy were at a high
level and higher than the evaluation criteria.
