Abstract

This research article consisted of three important objectives: to present the cultural management model of Ban Mark Kham and Ban Mark Muang in Trirath municipality, Muang District, Pathum Thani Province, to study community culture management, and to study the views of people in the community on cultural activities. This research used qualitative research by focusing on in-depth interviews from 30 key informants. Analytical interpretation was employed and context was also analyzed. The descriptive statistics was utilized to make the collected data concise. The results revealed that for the objective 1, the appropriate model of community culture management in the ASEAN Economic Community was the integration of the Deming cycle (PDCA) and drove through the mechanism so called Kor Chor Sor Ror (family, community, religion, school). For the objective 2, the community had a way to manage the community culture in line with the Deming cycle for improving activities and adjusting the context accordingly. For the objective 3, people in the community had clear views and wanted to maintain their identity, local culture reflecting both Thai, Mon and Chinese ethnicities. Moreover there was a high possibility of organizing activities important in preserving their way and identity.
