The effect of Individual counseling based on the Satir model that affects happiness

Abstract

This study the objective is to study the effect of individual counseling based on the Satir model that affects happiness of the Clients in Khon Kaen Shelters for Children and Families the sample groups of 12 people were divided into 6 experimental groups and 6 control groups. The tools used in the research were 1) happiness measure 2) individual counseling program based on Satir concept, using statistics Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Signed-Ranks Test in comparison of happiness scores between pre-trial and post-test of the experimental group and using The Mann-Whitney U Test to compare the happiness scores between the control group and the experimental group after the experiment


The research found that:


1.The experimental group had a higher average score of happiness than before the counseling. With statistical significance at the level of .05


 2.The experimental group had the average score of happiness after receiving individual counseling, Satir concept Higher than the control group with statistical significance at the level of .05
