บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอภาพแทนของสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวจาก     การนำเสนอผ่านนวนิยายไทย ตัวบทที่ผู้วิจัยนำมาศึกษามีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 10 เรื่อง ได้แก่ ดอกฟ้าจำปาศักดิ์ (2492) แม่โขง (2544) ตามลมปลิว (2548) ฝนโปรยรัก (2548) รอยไหม (2551) ศรีสองรัก (2553) บ่วงเงา (2553) พระนางแก้วเก็งยา (2554) ณ ริมฝั่งโขง (2556) และ มายามหาเทวี (2556) นวนิยายที่นำมาศึกษานั้นเลือกนำเสนอให้เห็นถึงภาพแทนของคนลาว ภาพแทนของวัฒนธรรม และภาพแทนของชาติ แสดงให้เห็นรูปแบบวิถีชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย มีความเป็นเมืองที่มีวัฒนธรรมและมรดกทางประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานในการต่อสู้  เพื่อธำรงรักษาความเป็นชาติลาวไว้ รวมไปถึงยังมุ่งนำเสนอให้เห็นถึงแก่นแท้ของศาสนาโดยเชื่อมโยงเข้ากับ    ความเชื่อเรื่องกรรมซึ่งผู้แต่งได้นำมาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการดำเนินเรื่อง

นอกจากนี้ในการสร้างชุดความหมายของภาพแทนทางด้านต่าง ๆ ผ่านมุมมองของนักเขียนที่เป็น    คนไทยต่อการนำเสนอให้ผู้อ่านได้รับรู้เกี่ยวกับภูมิหลังทางประวัติศาสตร์ในช่วงเวลาต่าง ๆ ระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวที่มีมาอย่างยาวนาน ทำให้เกิดความรู้ความเข้าใจสำหรับ     การมีวัฒนธรรมที่คล้ายคลึงกันและภาพความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว

Abstract

The aim of this research is to present the representation of People's Democratic Republic of Laos from the presentation through Thai novels. There are 10 novels which the researchers chose to study, which are Dok Pha Jampasak (1949), Mae Khong (2001), Tam Lom Pliw (2005), Fon Proy Rak (2005), Roy Mai (2008), Sri Song Rak (2010), Buang Ngao (2010), PraNang Kaew Keng Ya (2011), Na Rim Fang Khong (2013), and Maya MahaDevi (2013). The aforementioned novels present the representation of Lao people, culture, and nation. Moreover, they show the simple way of life, cultural and historical heritage of maintaining the Lao nation including presenting the quiddity of religion linking with the belief of Karma which the authors use as a part of the continuity.

Besides, in forming the series of meaning of the representation through the Thai authors’ aspects to present the historical background between Thailand and People's Democratic Republic of Laos, these novels illustrate knowledge and comprehension of owning the similar culture and the good relationship between Thailand and People's Democratic Republic of Laos.
