บทคัดย่อ
บทความชิ้นนี้ศึกษาการผลิตสร้างความรู้เกี่ยวกับสันติภาพเชิงวิพากษ์ ผ่านการคัดเลือกผลงานชิ้นสำคัญของ โอลิเวอร์ พี. ริชมอนด์ จากปีค.ศ. 1998 ถึง ค.ศ. 2024 เพื่ออธิบายความเปลี่ยนแปลงของกระบวนทัศน์และความรู้ด้านสันติภาพเชิงวิพากษ์ พบว่า แบ่งได้สี่ระยะที่สัมพันธ์กับลักษณะของความขัดแย้งรูปแบบใหม่ ความสำเร็จและความล้มเหลวอันเป็นบทเรียนจากกระบวนการสันติภาพ ได้แก่ หนึ่ง ระยะโต้แย้งกลุ่มแนวคิดที่ให้รัฐเป็นศูนย์กลางการศึกษา (ค.ศ.1998-2003) สอง ระยะที่เน้นความสำคัญของชุมชนและปัจเจก (ค.ศ. 2004-2010) สาม ระยะที่เน้นสันติภาพเชิงผสมผสาน กับสันติภาพในชีวิตประจำวัน (ค.ศ. 2011-2019) และสี่ ระยะการวิพากษ์วาทกรรมสถาปัตยกรรมสันติภาพระหว่างประเทศ กับปฏิปักษ์สันติภาพ (ค.ศ. 2020-2024) โดยการสร้างความรู้ด้านสันติเชิงวิพากษ์ในกว่าสามทศวรรษได้มอบข้อเสนอใหม่ให้แก่พื้นที่ความรู้ด้านสันติภาพซึ่งไม่จำกัดอยู่ที่บทบาทของรัฐและองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ ทั้งยังเสนอทางเลือกที่เป็นไปได้อันหลากหลายต่อการสร้างความรู้ว่าด้วยสันติภาพ สันติภาพเชิงวิพากษ์จึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียงกระบวนทัศน์รอง แต่กลายเป็นกระบวนทัศน์ใหม่ที่มีอิทธิพลอย่างกว้างขวางต่อนโยบายความมั่นคงของรัฐ ปฏิบัติการขององค์กรระหว่างประเทศ และท้องถิ่นในสังคมสมัยใหม่ตั้งแต่ปลายทศวรรษ 1990 อย่างไรก็ตาม ความหลากหลายของสันติภาพยังคงเผชิญกับความท้าทายในการหลุดพ้นจากกรอบแนวคิดแบบตะวันตกที่ยึดโยงกับประชาธิปไตย สิทธิมนุษยชน เสรีนิยม และโลกาภิวัตน์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อถูกนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในบริบทที่อยู่นอกโลกตะวันตก
