Performance Efficiency Comparison of Global Healthcare Mutual Funds

Abstract
The purpose of this research were to study and comparatively analyze the rate of returns, risks, and performance of the Global Healthcare Mutual Funds in Thailand from 2019 to 2021. Monthly data were collected, and there were 36 months in total. The sample included 10 Global Healthcare Mutual Funds. The results of the rate of return calculations, risks calculations, and performance comparison analysis by using Sharpe's Ratio, Treynor's Ratio, and Jensen's Alpha showed that the fund with the highest average return was the Krungsri Global Healthcare Equity Fund (KFHEALTH-A). The fund with the highest total risk was KKP Global Healthcare Fund (KKPGHC). The fund with the highest systematic risk was the SCB Global Healthcare Equity Fund (SCBGHC). Based on the three measures, the top best-performing funds were the Krungsri Global Healthcare Equity Fund (KFHEALTH-A), Bualuang Global Health Care Fund (BCARE) respectively. The results show that the performance compared by Sharpe's Ratio and Treynor's Ratio were consistent, but different when compared by Jensen's Alpha.
