Abstract
The purposes of this research were to compare language skills of preschool children before and afterpartaking in language educational games; and to study language skill behaviors of preschool children. Theresearch sample consisted of 30 third year kindergartners, age 5 - 6 years, in an intact classroom in the firstsemester of the 2008 academic year, obtained by cluster sampling from the existing seven classrooms. Theywere exposed to educational games on language for 3 days per week, for the total period of 8 weeks.
The employed research instruments were activities management plans on language educational games, and a scale to assess behaviors on language educational game activities. The data were analyzed usingdependent t-test.
Research findings were as follows:
1. After partaking in language educational games, the preschool childrenûs language skills weredeveloped to be significantly higher than their pre-activities counterpart skills at the .05 level.
2. After partaking in language educational games, the preschool childrenûs language skill behaviorswere significantly at the higher level than their pre-activities counterpart behaviors at the .05 level.
