Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study (1) the current state of the strategic change management ofSuan Dusit Rajabhat University; and (2) the model of the strategic change management of the university. Bothquantitative and qualitative research methodologies were employed by using questionnaires, document analysis,in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and seminars to obtain research information. The research sampleconsisted of 312 executives and personnel of the university who were directly in charge of and affected by theimplementation of the strategic change management. Information on the strategic change management of theuniversity was also obtained from document analysis. The main informants who provided data via the in-depth interviews were 9 university executives; 10 persons participated in the focus group discussions; and 20 personsparticipated in the seminar sessions. Quantitative data were analyzed with the use of the mean and standarddeviation; while content analysis was employed to analyze the qualitative data.The study found that (1) the overall current state of the strategic change management of Suan DusitRajabhat University was practiced at the moderate level; and (2) the strategic change management model of theuniversity was composed of five components: (a) the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University strategies; (b) the 10processes of change management and the 72 procedures of operational procedures; (c) the roles of individuals inthe change management; (d) the facilitating factors leading to the changes; and (e) key performance indicatorsof the strategic change management of Suan Dusit Rajabhat University.
