การวิจัยวัฒนธรรมเพื่อพัฒนาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยวัฒนธรรม “ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น” เป็นองค์ความรู้ รวมทั้งความคิดและความเชื่อที่ท้องถิ่นนั้นๆได้สั่งสมและสืบทอดอย่างต่อเนื่องกันมา โดยใช้วิธีการ เครื่องมือและวิถีชีวิต เพื่อการป้องกันและแก้ปัญหาการดำรงชีพของบุคคลในชุมชนหรือท้องถิ่นนั้นให้อยู่รอดปลอดภัย มีความสุข มั่งคั่งและมั่นคง ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นที่เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทยจึงเรียกในภาพรวมว่า“ภูมิปัญญาไทย”ซึ่งมีคุณค่าและความ สำคัญในด้านต่างๆเช่น ช่วยสร้างชาติให้เป็นปึกแผ่น สร้างความภูมิใจและศักดิ์ศรีเกียรติภูมิแก่คนไทย ปรับประยุกต์ใช้กับวิถีชีวิตได้อย่างเหมาะสม สร้างความสมดุลระหว่างคนและธรรมชาติได้อย่างยั่งยืนและสามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงปรับปรุงได้ตามยุคสมัย ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นของไทยประกอบ ด้วยสาขาต่างๆได้แก่ เกษตรกรรม อุตสาหกรรมและหัตถกรรม การแพทย์แผนไทย การจัดการทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม กองทุนและธุรกิจชุมชน สวัสดิการ ศิลปกรรม การจัดการ ภาษาและวรรณกรรมและสาขาศาสนาและประเพณี ซึ่งอาจจัดรวมเป็น 3 หมวดใหญ่ คือ องค์ความรู้ของชุมชนท้องถิ่น การแสดงออกซึ่งวัฒนธรรมพื้นบ้าน และทรัพยากรพันธุกรรม

ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นมีความสัมพันธ์กับวัฒนธรรมอย่างใกล้ชิดเนื่องจากวัฒนธรรมเกิดขึ้นจากภูมิปัญญาที่มีการสั่งสมกันมา ท้องถิ่นใดมีภูมิปัญญาที่สั่งสมไว้อย่างดีย่อมส่งผลให้เกิดวัฒนธรรมที่เข้มแข็งและสามารถเปลี่ยนเป็นมูลค่ามหาศาลใช้หล่อเลี้ยงคนในสังคมนั้นได้อย่างยั่งยืน

การวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมเป็นรูปแบบของสหวิทยาการ และใช้เทคนิกการวิจัยหลายลักษณะประกอบกัน การวิจัยในลักษณะนี้ ควรเน้นถึงการนำผลวิจัยไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการอนุรักษ์ ส่งเสริม เผยแพร่ สร้างมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจและการแก้ไขปัญหาสังคมอย่างยั่งยืน การวิจัยที่มีประโยชน์มากรูปแบบหนึ่งได้แก่ “การวิจัยและพัฒนา” การเลือกประเด็นการวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมจึงต้องคำนึงถึงประโยชน์ในการตอบสนองความต้องการและการแก้ปัญหาของสังคมเช่น การสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน การเกิดนวัตกรรมและแนวคิดใหม่ในวงวิชาการโดยการประยุกต์ใช้ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นซึ่งจะมีผลสะท้อนกลับไปสู่การพัฒนาภูมิปัญญาดังกล่าวด้วย

ทุนทางวัฒนธรรมของไทยเป็นมรดกล้ำค่า ควรค่าแก่การดูแล อนุรักษ์ ปกป้องและพัฒนาด้วยกลยุทธที่เหมาะสม การศึกษาวิจัยจนสามารถเข้าถึงและนำมาปรับประยุกต์ใช้ได้จึงเป็นบทบาทที่สำคัญ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการศึกษาวิจัยที่มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาพื้นที่ ท้องถิ่นและการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนเพื่อเกิดกระบวนการเรียนรู้ที่นำไปสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป

ในขณะที่มีการให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาด้านเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ซึ่งมีทุนทางวัฒนธรรมเป็นหัวใจในการดำเนินการนั้น การวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมยิ่งทวีความสำคัญมากขึ้น ผลจากการศึกษาวิจัยทางวัฒนธรรมทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นในหลายลักษณะ เช่นเกิดนวัตกรรมใหม่ การพัฒนาให้มีมูลค่าเพิ่ม การถ่ายทอดความรู้และเทคโนโลยีพร้อมทั้งนำองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีมาพัฒนาภูมิปัญญาเดิม การศึกษาวิเคราะห์เชิงลึกเพื่อสร้างคุณค่าภูมิปัญญาให้ประจักษ์ การแก้ปัญหาที่ยุ่งยากซับซ้อนอันเกิดจากธรรมชาติและตัวมนุษย์ และการพัฒนาสังคมในกรอบของศิลธรรมและวัฒนธรรมอันดีงาม

Abstract

Local wisdom is the knowledge, opinions and beliefs which have been accumulated and transferred continually using means, techniques and lifestyles in order to prevent and solve the problems of community living to enhance safety, happiness, wealth and stability. The local wisdom in Thailand is called ‘Thai local wisdom’ which is valuable and important in many ways. These include building a strong nation, bringing pride and honour to Thai people, appropriately applying to ways of living, sustainably restoring the balance between people and nature and being able to adjust to the changing time. Thai local wisdom concerns various fields of science such as agriculture, industry, handicraft, traditional Thai medicine, natural resources and environmental management, funds and business community, welfare, fine arts, management, language and literature as well as religions and tradition. These fields can be categorized into 3 main groups which include the knowledge of local community, performance reflecting local native culture and genetic resources.

Local wisdom is closely related to culture which is the result of accumulated wisdom. The accumulation of the wisdom leads the community to the great value which can be used for a sustainable nourishment of the community.

The cultural research is multi-disciplines using various types of research techniques. This kind of study focuses on the utilization of research findings in conservation, enhancement, dissemination, economic value creation and sustainable problem solving. One type of the research which is very useful is ‘research and development’. The issue being taken into consideration when choosing the research topic is the contribution of research in responding to needs and solving social problems. These include strengthening the community and creating innovation and new ideas in academia using the application of local wisdom which will affect the wisdom development in return.

The cultural capital is the precious heritage which is worth conserving, protecting and developing with the appropriate strategies. To conduct the research that leads to the access and application of cultural capital is, therefore, the crucial role. Conducting the contributed research especially the ones that focus on area-based development and community participation will create the process of learning which leads to a sustainable development.

While the development of creative economy which cultural capital is at the heart of the procedure is taken into account, the cultural research is getting more important. The findings of cultural research contribute to the local wisdom development in many ways such as innovation and value creation, knowledge and technology transfer together with the use of knowledge and technology to develop existing traditional wisdom, in-depth study and analysis, solving complex problems caused by nature and human as well as social development in the framework of morals and culture.
