บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพของแบบฝึกเสริมการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบท ของนักศึกษาปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 1 มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลสุวรรณภูมิ ศูนย์สุพรรณบุรี 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายคำศัพท์จากบริบท ก่อนและหลังการใช้แบบฝึก 3) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษา ที่มีต่อแบบฝึกเสริมการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบท กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2556 จำนวน 28 คน โดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แบบฝึกเสริมการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบท แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบทก่อนและหลังการทดลองและแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าร้อยละ และทดสอบค่า t-test ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ประสิทธิภาพของแบบฝึกเสริมการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์โดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบทมีค่า 75.75/76.78  2) ความสามารถในการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์โดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายคำศัพท์จากบริบทสูงกว่าก่อนทำแบบฝึกอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 3) นักศึกษาความคิดเห็นที่ดีต่อแบบฝึกเสริมการเข้าใจความหมายคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยการใช้กลวิธีการเดาความหมายจากบริบทอยู่ในระดับดี

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop and measure the efficiency of the supplementary exercises for the first year students of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnbhumi at Suphanburi Campus focusing on understanding the meaning of vocabulary by using context clues, 2) to compare students’ ability to understand the meaning of English vocabulary by using context clue strategies before and after using the supplementary exercises, and 3) to study student’s opinions towards the supplementary exercises. The sample consisted of 28 first year students from the undergraduate school of Rajmangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi at Suphanburi Campus in the academic year 2013. They were chosen by random sampling. The tools used for gathering data were the supplementary exercise focusing on understanding the meaning of English vocabulary by using context clue strategies, a set of achievement test used as a pretest  and posttest and a questionnaire on opinions towards the exercises. The statistics used to analyze the data were arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test. The results of the study were as follows. 1. The efficiency rate of the supplementary exercises was 75.75/76.78. 2. The students’ ability on understanding the meaning of English vocabulary by using context clue strategies after using the exercises was significantly higher than that before using the exercises, p = .05. 3. The students’ opinions toward the supplementary exercises focusing on understanding the meaning of English vocabulary by using context clue strategies were positive.
