Abstract

This research aims to create and develop the self-assessment checklist in solving
mathematical problems of the 6th grade students in order to determine the quality of the
self-assessment checklist for solving mathematical problems of 6th grade students and to
study the result of using the self-assessment checklist for solving mathematical problems
of 6th-grade students. The sample group was 30 students in Grade 6 of two schools
affiliated with the Office of Elementary Education, Pathumthani Area 2. The consistency of
the data was obtained from several evaluative methods such as calculating the coefficient
of consistency of Kendall’s coefficient of concordance: W, frequency (f) average ( χ
) and
percentage (%). Presentation was done along with profiles of students’ development. The
results show that the self-assessment checklist in solving mathematical of 6th-grade
students according to Polya hadfour check points. The index of congruency of the content
validity was between 0.80-1.00. as evaluated by experts. The reliability between the
researcher and the two teachers was 0.7656 at a significant level of .05. Show that
student’s mathematical problem solving skills increased.
