An Analytical study on content and values of Milindapañhã in Northeastern Thai Dialect Versions: The Case of Wat Banpafha (Potharam) in Roi Et

Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the content and value of the Milindapañhã Northeastern Thai Dialect Versions. The case that found in Wat Ban Pa Fa (Photharam), Roi Et Province. Documents can be observed in terms of content, presentation, writing style, language use, rhetoric, and values of the Thai version of Milindapañhã Northeastern Thai Dialect Versions. The results showed that the Thai version of the Milindapañhã Northeastern Thai Dialect Versions is structured into 4 parts: 1) Panamakatha, words expressing humility, 2) Aramphakatha,
beginning words telling the history of the scriptures, 3) Story sequence, presenting problems in, and the story of King Milinda and Phra Nãgasena. 4) Summarizing spells, summarizing the spells in Milindapañhã Milinda. In which the author of the Bible presented only 38 problems that come in the 33 problems of the Pali version of the Milindapañhã, and the author further explains both fables, parables, and local idioms in the scriptures. The writing style is prose mixed with poetry. The language used is Pali and translated into Northeastern Thai Dialect Thai, clearly conveys the meaning and has religious, literary, and social values.
