The cause of employee’s job stress in the petrochemical industry located in Rayong

Abstract
The purposes of this research are to analysis the root cause of employee’s job stress and to compare employee’s job stress in the petrochemical industry located on Rayong that classified by sex, age, education, marital status, work experience and income. The sample size of this research is 4oo that was calculated by Taro Yamane formula with a confidence level of 95%. The tool used in this research is a survey with 3 parts and the statistics tool used are Frequency, Percentages, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe Analysis. SPSS was performed for data analysis at the significant level of .05. The research result found that the most employees in the petrochemical industry located on Rayong were man, aged 25 not over 35 years old, Bachelor’s Degree, Marital Status Single, Working experienced 5 not over 10 years and monthly income more than 50,000 baht. The overall analysis showed that the stress level was low with the average 2.4. For the individual factor, it was found that the stress levels of the work, organization’s external factor, working relationship, career development and the role in and organization were low with the average 2.23, 2.36, 2.42, 2.46, 2.48 respectively and the stress level of the structure of criminal organization was moderate with the average 2.51.
